North Here we come
« on: May 20, 2014, 04:16:09 PM »
Well I thought now since I have traded for Walt it would be a good time to announce this.

Globe and Mail: Canadian team to be once again in the NPBL!

We learned Last week When GM Jonathan Warren was hired there was going to be a shake up, the Commissar of the NPBL had approved the request of The Canadian baseball Organization chief Paul Quantrill II to include a team in Canada for the Leagues 59th season. There was no trouble with the League they agreed right away to a Franchise. The Ohio team is getting pretty good why move them well we have some good hitters now and some pretty good pitchers and this stadium is pretty old, this team needs a bright new place to play for the fans and the players. I know that this will upset alot of people in Ohio but we will cover there cost for the first 2 years if they want to come watch and will keep a deal with Ohio to air the games as long as people like this team.

New franchise that will play out of Nova Scotia and will be called the Fishermen.

Hopefully Walt G wont retire till he hits 37 more HR in Nova Scotia.
Where their minors will be playing and the stadium will be released tomorrow.

Good luck....nice to see you really put a stamp on your team. You'll have to show us the new logo and unis...

I hope he hangs on and gets the 37 homers...though preferably not against GA. I'm hoping Kent Water holds on long enough to get to 2000 hits.

He'll get his chance....as my RF who bats vs R is out for another 4 weeks plus 2 or 3 weeks of rehab......if he can stay healthy he'll get his share of ABs.

The Plain Dealer: Ohio GM talks about the changes to the team

Since the new GM was hired there has been a ton of changes to the OHIO roster and even tho the team is moving the fans of this team would like to know. Well when I took over this team there were some things that this team had and things it didn't have I took a risk and got ride of a pretty good pitcher in Pat McCullough which was tough for me and the team but there's a certain type of pitcher I like on this team and pat wasn't totally one of them. I received alot of gruff from my staff and fans about trading 3 pretty good specs in Josť Alicea,Maurice Medina and Murry Hill but getting Pancho Rosado and  JuliŠn Morales totally compensates. The other question I have heard is why the hell is our GM trading all our picks well I kept the most important one and there's always 2059. Now the trade for the Dutch Hammer was a need and interesting trade he is old and not as good as he ones was but If he plays 2-3 more years He will become the HR king tho not here in Ohio but in Nova Scotia he will be:). I feel that I have gotten a ok core in the Hitting and MR but there are a few questions in the rotation but we have a good group of people and we could make the Playoffs you never know;) I hope this helps all you fans.

Also, your rookie league team needs to be in Alabama.
