Down to the final 2 teams!

The two teams with the best records (the #1 seeds).  It seems like that doesn't happen very often.

By the way... if anybody comes here first and feels "spoiled" by posts, just lmk and I'll refrain.

Nice to see Tim White hit a home run in the last at-bat of his career as he has announced he is retiring.  Sneaky good player.  I loved having him on my team these past few years.

3-4-5 are up!

Patriots were down 3 games to 0 and behind 3-2 in Game 4.  In the ninth inning, we rallied for 2 runs to stay alive.  It was all started by pinch hitting Mark Stokes who didn't start due to back spasms, and subsequently re-injured his back on the basepaths.

This will either be a nice story or something to be forgotten depending on whether or not the Patriots can win both of the games in Boston to complete the reverse-sweep.

Florida lost 9 straight, 7 to end the season, and then the first 2 in the wild card series. Then we won 6 straight, and now have lost 2 in a row. It's been a hell of a roller coaster for the Bluefish. Good luck tomorrow, lord only knows which Florida team will show up...

We threatened nearly every inning, but just couldn't push runs across.  Good series and good luck LT.

Post-trade with Utah:
Send Hamilton to AAA
Hall to the ML roster.   There is a spot open for him to play 2B vs RHP and 3B vs LHP, batting 2nd in both instances.

TIA

I'd be all for the 26-man, and while 28 is low (I'd prefer like 30-35) I'd live with it for the extra spot year round

My thoughts exactly

So, that's the pitching staff. It seems like Rivera, Newcomb, and Frank Williams can be a good rotation core as soon as next season (thank you, Tim, for trading me two of them).

It's been a good trade for both of us.

I'm not sure this is 100% accurate, but it's pretty close:

My 1st - 4th starters went 56-30 (.651)  - equivalent to winning 105 games in a season
My 5th starters (who I switched around looking for an answer) went a combined 3-16 (.158) - equivalent to winning 26 games in a season

I don't think I'll be trying a 5-man rotation in the postseason.   ;)

Chappy, for the other trades I put the guys in DFA.  I'm not sure if I'll be able to get another export in, so you might have to find John Rodriguez in Double A.

Nevermind, I did get an export done, so you'll find Rodriguez in DFA

Agreed.

I'm done for this year now... I think.

Cristo Ramez can go to AAA for the next sim.  I'll move him after the sim.

Post Mark Stokes trade:

I've left a roster open for Stokes.  For vsRHP, please start him at CF and bat him 6th.
And now post Shabecque trade:

Another open roster spot.

For vsRHP, Stokes starts in CF and Shabecque starts in RF.
Bat Stokes #2 and Shabecque #4

Stokes can backup all three OF spots vs LHP (If starter tired).
